SOPHIE spent this past summer taking her “Retro Electro” sound to the prestigious Isle of Wight Festival in the UK and across Europe with stops in Amsterdam and London in support of her self-produced EP “Just Another Sonic Monday (TM).”
JG and the Robots
Exploring themes of transhumanism and sentience, JG and the Robots is a conceptual Electronic multimedia experience that blends AI technologies with dance music performance and film. Its leader performs as a RoboSapien cyborg, accompanied by various other robots. The minds behind the ambitious project have now dropped their newest video, which utilizes "deepfake" artificial intelligence and computer-generated vocals to reconstruct the prominent 80s musician Thomas Dolby.
Animotion
Formed at the peak of the new wave movement, Animotion recorded three albums in the 80s, then disappeared for a decade. In the 21st Century, Bill Wadhams & Astrid Plane reunited with keyboard player Greg Smith and drummer Jim Blair, and they’ve been rocking ever since. Chris Wadhams, Wyatt Blair and Paul Trubachik join the band at selected shows. In 2017, they released a new album, “Raise Your Expectations”.

Brett Weiss has been a gamer since 1975 and a professional gaming writer since 1997. He’s the author of 14 books, including The NES Omnibus, The SNES Omnibus, The 100 Greatest Console Video Games series, and the newly published Retro Pop Culture A to Z Vol. 2: From Activision to Zelda. With his Classic Home Video Games series, he wrote the world’s first complete guides to numerous video game consoles, from the Intellivision to the Genesis. He also wrote the world’s first and only encyclopedia about the rock band KISS. “G”, aka G to the Next Level, is a 30+ year Sega historian and Sonic Collector. G’s largest passion lies in the worlds of Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog: their history, pop culture impact, and, of course, the games. G regularly streams Sega & Sonic games on Twitch, makes YouTube retro gaming deep dives, is an Official Sega Creator and a Capcom Creator, and shares how to find various Sonic the Hedgehog items on Instagram and TikTok.
G’s main projects, “Growing Up Genesis A-Z” and “Dreaming ‘Bout Dreamcast,” are comprehensive A-Z compendiums about Sega’s most impactful consoles, the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) & Sega Dreamcast, including streaming & reviewing the entire USA game library on Twitch and YouTube. They have also served as a host/emcee for several USA-based conventions as well as conducted numerous industry interviews. Erin Winick Anthony
Erin Winick Anthony is competitive pinball player and the founder of STEAM Power Media, a science communication company focused on digital storytelling. She helps scientists and engineers explain their work to the rest of the world through writing, video, and social media. Erin has a social media following of more than 325K to whom she shares space, science and pinball content. That includes her pinball series Learnging to Flip which documents her journey of learning to play competitive pinball. She holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Florida and previously worked as a science communication specialist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center for the International Space Station.
